Appropriate Usage Policy

By owning an account with The Entangled Web you agree to the following:

1.) The Entangled Web reserves the right to refuse service, or cancel existing accounts without reason or warning. In the event of non-payment, any breach of this agreement or for any other reason within the sole discretion of The Entangled Web, The Entangled Web shall have the right to immediately, without need for notice, terminate client's hosting account by refunding the remaining payment balance, minus one week, except for reasons under article 4 in this document.

2.) The Entangled Web reserves the right to change fees, surcharges, or institute new fees at any time.

3.) The Entangled Web is not responsible for lost revenue, traffic, etc caused by server down time.

4.) Customers of The Entangled Web are forbidden to partake in an "abusive practice." The following is a list of current abusive practices. Participating in an abusive practice will lead to an immediate account termination without prior notice or refund on any pre-payment. The Entangled Web reserves the right to add to or modify this list at any time:

Sending "bulk e-mail" (SPAM, UCE) with your account.
Using your “regular” web account to host adult-oriented sites (including, but not limited to, linking to other adult sites, hosting adult content on your own site, and advocating adult material).
Uploading, posting or reproducing in any way materials protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright holder.
Using your account to provide "counter or other cgi related services" to large quantities of people on the web.
Allowing usage of The Entangled Web’s resources for accounts hosted on other servers. A web site not hosted with The Entangled Web could not use its account to reference graphics, midi, cgi, etc. from our server.

Note: We believe in freedom of speech and expression, however, we will not risk a law suit or a bad publicity for our company by hosting any "questionable material." Examples include but are not limited to:

Any site bashing, putting down, etc. another cultural, religious, or ethnic group.
Any site advocating any illegal activities.
Certain radical or cult style groups.
Any site specifically slandering another person or organization.
Questionable Material determined by The Entangled Web

5.) Customers of The Entangled Web are held bound to all system pollicies not specifically listed within this agreement. A list of all policies can be found at Terms and Conditions page, and are also available via fax upon request. A violation of any of these system policies will result in an account cancellation without refund.

6.) Account Cancellations: In the event that the customer decides to terminate service with The Entangled Web, a 15 day prior written notice will be required. This notice may be e-mailed to info@entangledweb.com, or mailed to one of the addresses on our Contact page. The Entangled Web reserves the right to apply credit card charges on the regular renewal date, if an account termination notice has been received in an amount of time less than 15 days.

7.) This agreement is not assignable or transferable without the express written consent of The Entangled Web.

8.) The Entangled Web's hosting services may only be used for lawful purposes. Transmission of any material in violation of any International, Country, State, Provincial, or Local regulation(s) is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret. The client specifically agrees to indemnify and hold The Entangled Web harmless from any claims resulting from a breach of these terms, and/or their use of the service which damages another.

9.) The agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties hereto. The terms and conditions of this agreement shall be interpreted and enforced pursuant to the laws of the State of Georgia.
